FAQ: How much does it cost?
BISC is a not-for-profit club. Costs are as follows:
Membership costs
Annual membership subscriptions for each year are decided at the AGM. At present:
- Individual membership – is euro 20 per annum if paid before March 1st – after that it is euro 25 per annum.
- Family membership – is euro 30 per annum if paid before March 1st – after that it is euro 35 per annum.
Event costs
The costs for each event are determined by the organisation and hire costs. Typical hire costs are:
- one-day Sunday Sails: around euro 25 per person.
- weekend small-boat sailing: around euro 60 per person.
- weekend offshore yacht sailing: around euro 130 per person.
- weekend Dutch sailing barge cruise: around euro 130 per person.
Depending on the event, you may also need to allow some extra for food, hiring additional gear such as lifejackets, and a contribution to travel costs (ie: petrol, if car-pooling).
